Niantic Going to release Pokemon Go in india soon. There is no official announcement regarding release date yet. Now Niantic planning to release the game in their Home Japan but there are some hurdles and issue that Niantic must counter. Trial of Pokemon Go beta version is done in Japan but still people waiting for official release.
#Update (12 Feb 2017): Niantic didn't launched Pokemon GO in india officially and people also lost interest in this game because of no new interesting changes. People who live in small cities dont have any pokemons to catch, dont have Gyms to fight, less pokestops so people start uninstalling the game.
Due to Email Leak Niantic didn't release Pokemon Go in Japan because there is a lots of hype created for this game and a sudden high traffic is difficult to handle by servers. Pokemon Go now officially Released in Australia, Canada, Germany, New Zealand, the UK and the US.

Niantic is getting hurdles because there are problems in some countries related to google services so it's difficult to use GPS or Pin Point the location Like Google Street view is not allowed in India.
